About Me

Lauren, here! I'm a recent graduate of Trinity University, with an undergrad degree in mathematics. I'm working on my Ph.D. in math education at Texas State University.

My passion for food has been with me since I was young. Food brings people together, nourishes us, fuels our bodies, and can completely change our moods. It is such an important part of my life, and I'm so excited to share it with you!

I've chosen to focus on healthy eating because a well nourished body gives you energy, puts you in a much better mood, and ensures your quality of life for years to come. Being part of the healthy living community has changed my life for the better. Already, having this blog has shown me a whole new world of people who believe in the same things I do. It has been a huge support to help me stay on track!

Some notes about my cooking: 1. I rarely measure things exactly. If I'm following a recipe from somewhere else, I'll include the measurements from that. If I'm giving you a recipe that I've come up with myself, I'm using rough estimates based on what I think I used. 2. I also have a tendency to make changes or substitutions to the recipes that I use. I'm a "taste-as-you-go" kind of cook, so I'm constantly modifying things. I'll put any of these changes in the notes before each recipe.

I hope you enjoy my blog and my recipes! Feel free to leave any feedback or comments, I'd love to hear from you!
